October 5 2007

In London, consumer agency Future Foundation has promoted Barry Clark to a new role to lead development of its new global insight programme.

Barry ClarkClark, who was previously Head of Client Services for the online consumer insight service, nVision, steps up to Global Account Associate Director. The programme compares lifestyles and consumer behaviour across 37 countries: Clark is now tasked with rolling out an extended version across Brazil, Russia, India, China, Japan, the U.S, South Korea and Turkey.

The new programme, entitled 'nVision Global', will launch later this autumn to gather new consumer insight and intelligence from countries accounting for 80% of global GDP. Client Services Managers Yasmine Baladi and Edward Greggs will jointly head up the account management team for nVision's 200+ subscribers.

Clark worked in retail, FMCG and media marketing for more than ten years. For the six years prior to joining the firm, he was Senior Marketing Manager at HarperCollins Publishing for Entertainment Books. After completing his marketing and industrial relations studies at Strathclyde University, he started his career in sales at Whitbread Beer Company and then moved in to marketing where he worked across a number of brands including Hoegaarden, Stella Artois and Boddingtons. He then moved to Costa Coffee where he set up the firm's marketing function.

Future Foundation MD Christophe Jouan commented: 'Barry's excellent knowledge and understanding of consumer trends combined with his ability to build effective rapport with clients made him an excellent appointment to lead our global service.'

The Future Foundation is part of Experian's Business Strategies division. Operating in the UK, across Europe and globally, it is online at www.futurefoundation.net.

In July, Future Foundation's former Chief Executive Paul Flatters, left to join research consultancy Opinion Leader as its new MD (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7063.htm ).
