AOL to Integrate TACODA Tools

May 7 2008

From next month, AOL's ad business Platform-A will offer TACODA's advanced suite of behavioral targeting solutions across its entire network, which includes all AOL-owned and operated sites such as AOL News and Sports, along with sites in the Advertising.com third-party network.

TACODA's behavioral targeting technology analyzes billions of user actions each day to help advertisers target relevant messages to appropriate audience segments. Using this technology, AOL advertisers will be able to run a behavioural campaign across the entire Platform-A network with one tracking, reporting and delivery system.

'The industry is demanding scale and precision with consumer targeting options, and TACODA's behavioral solution allows advertisers to reach their most valuable audiences, drive results, and maximize brand value', said Platform-A President Lynda Clarizio.

Clarizio added that TACODA's technology complements Platform-A's suite of advertising solutions, such as branded content integration, editorial sponsorships, and the recently launched spot marketplace, which allows advertisers to bid on select unsold inventory across AOL owned and operated sites, as well as the Advertising.com network.

TACODA is a wholly owned division of AOL, providing behavioral targeting solutions to more than 4,000 sites reaching over 140 million monthly unique users. Last autumn, the firm promoted Daniel Jaye to the post of President, replacing Curt Viebranz who left to become President of Platform-A and was dismissed and replaced with Clarizio in March, after just five months in the job.
