New COO for Interpret

LA-based media and technology research firm Interpret LLC has hired Aric Ackerman as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). Reporting to CEO Michael Dowling, his role will include identification of acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

He has more than 15 years of experience in consulting, legal operations, finance and business development within the media and entertainment industry. He joins from The L.A. Studios, Inc., where he was CEO, and worked previously for eight years at a production company, @radical.media, Inc., as CFO and then COO.

Ackerman has also worked as a consultant for companies including PricewaterhouseCoopers and Accenture, where he started his career in 1992. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
