Social media management specialist Sprinklr has appointed Thomas Butta as Chief Marketing Officer, based in New York.
The firm, headquartered in New York City and with more than 900 employees globally, has made seven acquisitions in the last eighteen months. These include location-specific text analytics firm
NewBrand this month, Brazilian social media firm
Scup a month previously, and online customer community platforms
Get Satisfaction and
Pluck earlier in 2015. In between, it
raised $46m for global expansion and product development.
Butta brings experience from more than 30 years leading marketing for major companies, and was most recently Consultant-in-Residence at venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, and before that as CMO of
AppNexus. Prior to this, he ran his own consultancy 21Weeks, and held CMO roles at NICE Systems, PTC and Red Hat.
