BrainJuicer Grows 22% in First Half

July 8 2009

UK-based online research specialist BrainJuicer has reported revenue growth of around 22%, in its trading update for the first six months of 2009.

BrainJuicer CEO John KearonThe firm's higher margin 'Juicy' products have continued to gain client adoption, and now comprise 54% of turnover (up from 47% in the year to 31 December 2008). These include: PredictiveMarkets (where participants hypothesise whether they would buy or sell shares), CommScan (an ad and communications testing tool), Insight Validation (used to brainstorm new product ideas), Creative 6ers, and Quali-Taxi.

In the statement, the firm said that year-on-year growth had been encouraging, despite the harsh economic climate.

The firm is continuing to establish its international presence with good progress for its new offices in Germany and Switzerland. During January, the company also launched its JuicyBrains Community, an online environment which allows clients to work with handpicked creative consumers to maximize the number of ideas generated.

The firm ended June with £1.2m net cash and says it is expecting to make further progress during the year. Forecasts to December 2009 are for pre-tax profits of £1.58m. Interim results will be announced on 22 September.
