Cambiar Acquires Transition Strategies

Cambiar, the management consultancy dedicated to the MR industry, has acquired MR advisory firm Transition Strategies Corporation. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Simon Chadwick and Michael MitranoPennington, NJ-based Transition Strategies was founded in 1993, and specializes in helping owners and managers acquire, merge, or sell research companies, while also helping businesses improve their strategy, management and operations performance. Cambiar, which is based in Durham, NC and was founded in 2004 by US researchers Simon Chadwick and Jay Wilson, helps MR companies manage change via a number of distinct practices: HR, sales performance, research transformation, marketing and training programs.

The merged company will trade under the Cambiar name and will be run by Chadwick and Transition Strategies former co-owner Michael Mitrano, as co-Managing Partners. Cambiar's offices will be in Durham and Pennington, with key staff also based in in Arizona, Connecticut and Minnesota. The company is represented in Asia-Pacific by Gordon & McCallum.
