Lotame Opens Office in Australia

September 17 2014

US-based web analytics and behavioral targeting firm Lotame has opened an office in Sydney, and appointed Ian Curd as Commercial Director of Australia and New Zealand.

Ian CurdLotame's flagship audience data management platform Crowd Control gathers first-party unstructured audience data from publisher sites, allowing clients to combine this with third-party data in a single interface. A further solution, Lotame Mobile DMP, helps businesses manage audience data gathered from mobile devices.

Following a $15m round of Series D funding earlier in the year, the firm has now expanded into the APAC region, where it says it has increased its client base by more than 300% in the past six months. Curd (pictured) joins with more than fifteen years' experience. Most recently, he worked for News Corporation, where he led a team of technical ops specialists. Prior to this, he was European MD at digital marketing technology provider Facilitate Digital, and Regional Director for APAC at digital advertising technology and services company EyeWonder.

In his newly created role, Curd will be responsible for driving sales across Australia and New Zealand, as well as providing sales support across the wider APAC region. Mat Ward, MD for APAC, comments: 'We're seeing really strong demand from prospects across Australia and New Zealand, and by opening a local office and appointing someone with Ian's proven track record, we'll be able to capitalize on these opportunities and continue to build on our rapid growth across the APAC region.'
