TNS 'First' to Establish Presence in Mongolia

TNS is to move into the Mongolian market in partnership with sister WPP agency Y&R Advertising, with the latter acquiring a majority stake in the Creative and Research Agency (CRA) from conglomerate MCS Holding LLC. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Established in 2008, CRA has 45 members of staff and provides a range of services including advertising development and events management, as well as consumer and retail market research. Following the acquisition, the company will be renamed Y&R Mongolia, and its research business will be affiliated with TNS - which says it will be the first international research consultancy to establish a presence in Mongolia.

We were the first international research consultancy in many markets across the region, including Myanmar in 2013, and we are pleased to partner with Y&R to be first to establish a presence in Mongolia.'
