Six Join Firefish

London-based insight consultancy Firefish has announced six appointments. Simon Gedman joins as an Associate Director, while five Research Executives are added to the team - Ellie O'Dell, Anna Leggett, Posy Knightly-Brown, Tom Hayes and Toni Coker.

The agency has additional offices in Amsterdam and New York and was founded as a qual specialist in 2000. The following year a sister company, Firefilms, was launched, pioneering the use of video in research. The Group's divisions and subsidiaries now include quant division TheNumbersLab, and family, kids and teens specialist The Pineapple Lounge (launched in 2011). In March, the Group announced an annual revenue increase of 18%, to £9.55m in its full financial year 2014.

Gedman (pictured), who specializes in brand positioning, NPD and communication development work, joins from SPA Future Thinking, where he spent eighteen months as a Research Manager. He began his research career at Optimisa in 2007.

O'Dell joins TheNumbersLab, after eighteen months at Millward Brown. The other four new recruits are graduates.
