Dan Soulas, formerly US MD of media and marketing insights firm Ebiquity, has launched his own market intelligence and communications insight consultancy called Market Intel Group, near Philadelphia.Soulas (pictured) has more than 25 years' marketing and communications research experience. Before serving as MD, Market Intelligence at Ebiquity he was MD, North America at reputation specialist Echo Research (prior to its acquisition by Ebiquity). Earlier, he worked for ICR (International Communications Research) - joining in 1987 as Operations Director, and departing twenty years later, after acting as second in command under the CEO.
The new company uses customized market research solutions combined with secondary data sources and advanced data analysis, to provide clients across a number of industries with a more comprehensive understanding of their target markets and sources influencing decisions, recommendations, and image.
Soulas says the firm makes use of the latest web-based technologies to gather and analyze information, and comments: 'Providing a clearer understanding of target market attitudes, needs, and decisions are key elements to shaping clients' communications plans, and of course, layering in an understanding of competitive activity and social media influences is critical to painting a more complete picture and formation of a go-to-market strategy.'
