KSS Retail Renamed 'dunnhumby Price and Promotion'

October 21 2015

Tesco data firm dunnhumby has renamed its price modeling and customer insight firm KSS Retail 'dunnhumby Price and Promotion'.

Simon HayKSS was acquired by dunnhumby in 2010, and has since operated as an independent business unit within it, working with retailers in the grocery, drug, convenience, online and general segments. Its PriceStrat software offers buyers and category planners analytical tools to help plan consumer offers and assess their likely impact.

dunnhumby says the move follows on from the restructure of its US joint venture agreements this year, and reinforces its status as a single source supplier of a wide range of services for retailers. The combined offer includes strategy, research and planning, and other price and promotion services, in addition to enterprise-class optimisation and analytics tools.

Simon Hay (pictured), dunnhumby CEO, comments: 'We're passionate about helping clients get to know their customers so well that they can predict - and meet - their desires, including their need for the right prices, promotions, and products on the shelf. We're excited to be able to bring many of these strategic dunnhumby Price and Promotion capabilities to the market for the first time through a truly comprehensive offering'.
