Research Now Expands Ellis' Role as Markert Leaves

Digital data collection specialist Research Now has announced that EVP Greg Ellis will take over responsibility for its North American sales from Tom Markert, who is leaving to pursue other business interests.

Greg  EllisEllis (pictured) joined the company in April as EVP, Data Analytics, having previously served as President and CEO of pharma market research firm ImpactRx (Symphony Health Solutions). Before this, he worked for IRI, held senior roles at Nielsen and Opinion Research Corporation, and more recently was a Senior Partner at digital marketing agency Rosetta, where he led the patient and physician segmentation efforts.

At Research Now, he reports to COO John Rothwell, who comments: 'Greg's keen ability to understand the needs of our clients, and his experience in managing large client-focused organizations, makes me confident that he can adapt and manage our team of client sales personnel. Technology is changing how we and our clients collect and deliver data. Greg understands that and can help Research Now lead this evolution'.

Ellis takes over the additional responsibilities from Markert, who joined the firm last year with more than 30 years' business and marketing experience, more than twenty of which were spent at Nielsen. He also served as CEO of Ipsos Loyalty Worldwide, and worked at Office Depot as SVP of Strategy and Innovation. More recently, he co-founded and served as CEO of full service marketing agency Digital Tailwind.
