Pointlogic Taps Acxiom Data

Enterprise data and analytics firm Acxiom has partnered with marketing software firm Pointlogic, recently acquired by Nielsen. Acxiom's audience data will be integrated with Pointlogic's media planning and buying solution Commspoint.

Acquired by Nielsen two months ago, Pointlogic is headquartered in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and has offices in New York, Sao Paulo, London and Singapore.

The integration will allow Commspoint users to plan and research with the same audience data they use for targeted marketing. Acxiom data matches to 95 percent of the US population (individuals and households), and offers more than 5,000 pre-configured datasets for us in both onlione and off-line campaigns.

Pointlogic MD and Vice President Sales Jay Wofsy says of the partnership: 'As agencies and brands increasingly leverage Acxiom's data to super-charge their campaigns, this deal will enable them to consistently plan and buy media using the same data sets'. Rick Erwin, President and GM of the Acxiom Audience Solutions division, says Pointlogic's customers will 'gain access to richer data at the onset of their campaign planning, streamlining the media buying process and adding a whole new level of engagement efficiency'.
