Research Runner Appoints Former Mintel Tech Exec

Former Mintel exec Grant Norman has joined MR support services firm Research Runner as Technology Innovations Director, to help expand the firm's new Research Support Services division.

Grant NormanLaunched in 2011 by former Opinion Health sales specialist Julian Haste, Research Runner offers business development consultancy services to market research firms. The company also helps with sourcing quotes for qual and quant projects, assisting on all methodologies for fieldwork including recruitment for focus groups and panels, and building online communities.

Norman (pictured) joins with more than 20 years' software experience. For the past decade, he has worked as a Technical Consultant for software developer Teamstudio, providing technical training and support for internal and external clients. For the eleven years prior to this, he worked for consumer product and media intelligence provider Mintel, where he developed and maintained bespoke internal IT systems, while working directly with customers on the electronic delivery of purchased reports.

In his new role, Norman will work alongside recently appointed Consulting Director James McCoy, to help expand the new division with the addition of panels and a survey web site. Commenting on the appointment, Haste said: 'Having worked with Grant before I am very excited about the platform that we are creating for researchers globally. His arrival will allow us to be creative and help us to deliver tailored solutions for our clients' to provide complete support on quantitative and qualitative projects, and anything else as required.'
