Target Hires Industry Veteran Patrick Gorman

In the US, employee-owned full-service agency Target Research Group has appointed research industry veteran Patrick Gorman as its first Chief Marketing Officer.

Patrick GormanTarget Research Group, which was bought by its employees in 2013, works on concept, product, advertising and package testing, tracking and strategic research for sectors including food, personal care, financial services and healthcare; and also has a Legal Research Group specializing in claims substantiation, intellectual property disputes and misleading advertising issues.

Gorman (pictured) joins with an extensive background in the industry. Early in his career, he served as Divisional President of Research International, before joining Elrick and Lavidge, and then spending more than eleven years at Synovate. He then served as Managing Director of Q Research Solutions. Gorman's mother, Wanda Gorman, owned agency Partners In Research, while he is also the owner of linguistic research and technology firm Quester, best known for its Socrates virtual moderator platform.

In his new role, Gorman reports to CEO Greg Spagna, and will be tasked with helping develop new products, find new clients, and plan and execute Target's marketing campaigns.
