Shapiro+Raj Promotes for CTO / MD Digital Role

Research and insights firm Shapiro+Raj has promoted Nizam Sayeed to the role of Chief Technology Officer, as well as Managing Director of its Digital Insights and Intelligence Practice (DIIP).

Nizam SayeedHeadquartered in Chicago, with additional offices in New York and Pune, India, Shapiro+Raj was formed in 2014 when business transformation specialist Zain Raj acquired a majority interest in independent MR firm Shapiro. Last April, the company acquired real-time social media listening and analytics specialist MutualMind, which offers a listening and management system to help brands monitor and promote themselves on social media networks.

Sayeed (pictured) co-founded MutualMind and served as its CTO prior to the acquisition. Before this, he held senior software engineering/design roles at roadside assistance plan specialist Agero, investment software house Placemark, enterprise software firm Vercom, and telecoms business Nortel Networks. In his new role, he will lead the technology teams across the Shapiro+Raj network to deliver new products, capabilities and innovations through new and emerging technologies. He will also help identify and partner with other firms and groups that share 'similar perspectives, vision and values'.
