Manchester Office and Hires for Simpson Carpenter

UK consultancy Simpson Carpenter is expanding its pharma and biotech operation with a new office in Manchester's MediaCity. Alex Martin and Shaan Bassi join the company and will be based in the new location.

The agency says Martin and Bassi, who both worked previously at Blueprint Partnership, will form part of a 'fully-integrated pharma department, working hand-in-glove with their London colleagues'. Martin joins as an Associate Director and Bassi as an SRE.

Simpson Carpenter says its health team differentiates its offering by bringing in colleagues specialising in advanced analytics, semiotics and consumer research as appropriate to enhance project methodologies and expertise. The company also boasts 'deep sector expertise' in retail, tech and automotive markets.

Head of Healthcare Anna Sawka says the new arrivals bring complementary specialisms to the team: 'Alex has immense experience in complex quant and is a well-versed, highly-accomplished researcher, while Shaan has incredible commerciality, creativity and drive.
