Consumer intelligence firm Maru/Matchbox has announced the promotion of Michelle Walkey to Managing Director, Retail and Technology and the appointment of Allan Dykstra as VP Business Development for the same team.
Maru/Matchbox was formed when MARU Group acquired Vision Critical's North American Research Consulting division in 2016.
Walkey is an economist with a focus on game theory and the application of advanced analytics, and brings two decades of research experience focused on retail, technology and financial services sectors.
Dykstra joins after a year at rsg (research strategy group inc), and earlier in his career spent six and a half years in sales, marketing and planning roles in the beverages sector, first at Labatt and then InBev, before and after its 2009 takeover by Anheuser-Busch.
Maru Group CEO Ged Parton says of the appointments: 'Both the Retail and Technology markets are changing at an incredible pace, so I am pleased to have a research veteran like Michelle take charge. The addition of Allan signals how much opportunity we see to help our clients make timely decisions with confidence'.
