B2B information specialist Ascential has merged services from a number of its existing brands to launch 'Edge for Ascential', an eCommerce data and insights service for manufacturers and retailers.
Earlier this year Ascential - the company formerly known as EMAP - acquired eCommerce analytics specialist Clavis Insight. The 'Edge by Ascential' solution brings together parts of Clavis, as well as Brand View, One Click Retail and PlanetRetail RNG, to provide clients with eCommerce-driven data, insights and advisory solutions to measure performance and drive sales. The combined service provides weekly, daily and real-time digital shelf performance metrics; along with the ability to monitor price movement, promotions, availability and product content changes. Online sales and share data is available at SKU- and category-level.
The new service has more than 400 employees in ten offices across North America, Europe and Asia.
