Phebi Launches 'Detect' Audio File Insight Tool

April 24 2020

In London, voice technology firm Phebi has launched an SaaS product called Phebi Detect, which the firm claims makes it easier to process audio files collected during online or phone studies.

Mike PagePhebi's technology is used for voice-enabling market and survey research, and its flagship product Phebi Insightwas launched earlier this year promising qualitative data at scale. The new Phebi Detect tool works with captured audio .WAV files and can analyse thousands, of hours of audio from phone interviews, call center conversations, virtual and live focus groups and other interactions; and then pinpoint, transcribe and analyse relevant feedback.

Currently available in English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Cantonese and Mandarin, Phebi Detect can also identify emotion in respondents' voices (as well as other things, such as gender), while helping researchers understand intended sentiment, especially for longer audio files. The solution uses natural language technology, determines who is speaking when, and spots, with timestamps, when keywords and phrases are used.

CEO Mike Page (pictured) comments: 'With Phebi Detect researchers can easily identify precise moments where respondents feel anxious, happy or sad, opening up new levels of understanding around their perception of the treatment being studied. And the process is fast and hands-off. Partners send us a .WAV file, we process it - typically within 48 hours or less - and post results on an easy to use dashboard'.
