DoubleVerify Opens Office in Japan

Digital media measurement software and analytics provider DoubleVerify (DV) has opened an office in Japan, and appointed former Google director Takashi Takeda to launch and lead the business.

Takashi TakedaAcquired by private equity firm Providence Equity Partners in 2017 and accredited by the Media Rating Council, DV offers software that verifies the quality and effectiveness of digital ads. This includes DV Authentic Impression, giving clients a single KPI to ensure each ad impression is viewable, fraud-free and meets brand safety requirements; and IQ Advanced Solutions, a suite of media authentication services designed to increase the transparency and performance of video and display advertising across mobile and desktop platforms.

Takeda (pictured) joins after nearly eight years at Google, latterly as Director of Creative Solutions and Partnership, overseeing a team which helped advertisers and creative agencies fully utilize digital technology. Earlier he was CEO of marcoms consultancy 3T Corporation and of DDB Japan; and he held senior roles at ad agencies JWT, Saatchi & Saatchi, and McCann Erickson.

In his new position, Takeda is charged with setting up DV's operations in Japan, and building relationships with brands, agencies and media platforms to bring its ad verification tools to the Japanese market.
