In the US, Ipsos has appointed Christie Kawada as Head of Media Development and Audience Measurement. She takes over from Manny Flores, who moves to the position of Executive Vice President in the Client Organization.
Kawada (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' research and data science expertise. Most recently, she worked at ViacomCBS as SVP, building the Content Innovation Analytics department, and a platform which housed survey, measurement and marketing data; and forecasting algorithms. Before this, she was VP for Product Management and Innovation at GfK MRI; and SVP of Global Innovation Solutions at Nielsen.
In her new role, Kawada will oversee all Ipsos data assets and build an overall infrastructure to create data-driven products and methodologies around program and promo testing, audience targeting and activation, brand and show trackers, show and talent positioning, and promo/scheduling optimization. She replaces Flores, who joined the company nearly four years ago, after spending six years at Nielsen and twelve at ORC International.
Kawada will report to Ipsos US company President Peter Minnium, who comments: 'Christie's blend of experience as an industry thought leader, researcher, data and social scientist could not be more ideal for this role. She is ideally suited to lead this important segment of our business and guide our media and clients through these rapidly shifting times'.
