Trade Desk Data Open to All with OpenSincera Launch

May 15 2025

In California, independent ad tech firm The Trade Desk has announced the launch of a free insights product, OpenSincera, giving clients, partners - and competitors - access to its detailed advertising metadata, to improve their understanding of ad quality and the health of the digital ad supply chain.

Jeff GreenThe Trade Desk's self-service, cloud-based platform helps ad buyers to create, manage and optimize digital campaigns across ad formats and devices; and integrates with a range of major data, inventory and publisher partners. The company is headquartered in Ventura, CA, with offices across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

The new tool, available appropriately from D-Day (June 6th) will give participants across the entire advertising industry metrics on the ad experience, including ads-to-content ratio, page weight, average ads-in-view, and ad refresh rate. The launch builds on the acquisition of 'no-spin' media data company Sincera in January this year - The Trade Desk is essentially opening up its products to a wider audience. At the same time, the launch of an API will allow ad tech companies to quickly build their own services based on the data.

Founder and CEO Jeff Green (pictured) says Sincera 'has arguably the industry's richest, most unique data on digital advertising supply chains', and adds: 'We are embedding the full scope of that data across our Kokai platform so our clients can have as much information as possible on what they are bidding on. But with OpenSincera, we are opening much of this data to anyone in the industry that has an interest in improving the health of digital advertising, including our competitors.' GM Product Mike O'Sullivan states: 'Making OpenSincera available to everyone was critical for us to help improve the health of the advertising supply chain... The more data we can put into the hands of everyone in the advertising ecosystem the better it is for everyone and the open Internet.'
