ThinkAnalytics Hires SVP of Advertising

TV and streaming data firm ThinkAnalytics has appointed James Shears as Senior Vice President of Advertising, leading global strategy and commercial expansion for the firm's advertising solutions.

James ShearsThe firm's ThinkMediaAI platform brings together audience, content and metadata intelligence to help media companies exploit the full value of their first-party data. The platform powers more than 8 billion daily recommendations and supports more than 500 million viewers across 47 languages.

Shears (pictured) brings more than two decades of experience across TV, streaming media and data-driven advertising, most recently from XR Extreme Reach, where he was VP of Business Development and Client Partnerships. Before this he worked as SVP of Client Solutions at Nielsen, GM of Advanced TV at The Trade Desk, and Head of Programmatic and Addressable at DISH Network; and earlier in his career he held senior roles at Scripps and TV Guide Network.

In his new role, Shears will focus on driving adoption of ThinkAnalytics' privacy-safe audience intelligence and metadata enrichment solutions.
