Online visibility management platform Semrush has launched an app in ChatGPT, allowing marketers, SEO teams and marketing analyst clients to access its live data directly within the pioneering GenAI interface.
Semrush has three US offices and eight across Europe, and offers GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) and SEO expertise, advertising content, social media and competitive research campaigns from one platform / interface, as well as cross-channel measurement and optimization of digital ad campaigns. The company reported 15% revenue growth to $112.1m in the third quarter, is an investor in researcher MFour, and the owner of competitive intelligence automation specialist Kompyte. The firm itself is to be acquired by software giant Adobe for around $1.9bn in cash, as announced last month.
The new app provides ChatGPT users with access to Semrush data, real-time explanations within each prompt, automated reporting as required, and security based on user permission levels. Teams can now query Semrush APIs, automate reporting, and build AI-driven workflows using ChatGPT and OpenAI Agent Builder.
The firm says initial key use cases include automated competitive monitoring, rapid, data-driven content briefs based on outlines, keyword clusters and gap analyses using Semrush metrics; and hands-off reporting workflows, with agents compiling regular SEO or market performance reports using live Semrush data and delivering them directly to Google Docs, Notion, Slack, or email.
Semrush CPO Vitalii Obischenko (pictured) says the launch is 'a major step toward making AI Optimization, SEO, and competitive intelligence faster, clearer, and fully integrated into everyday workflows.'
