MASMI Hires MD for Saudi

Full service agency MASMI has appointed retail research specialist Nigel Clarkson as Managing Director, based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Clarkson joins with more than twenty five years' experience in the retailing and service industries. He has worked for the last nine years in Saudi Arabia, most recently as Head of Retail Research at the National Commercial Bank, and previously as Head of Marketing Research for Panda Supermarkets.

Before moving to the Gulf in 2000, he spent nearly 16 years at ASDA Wal*Mart in the UK, latterly as Marketing Research Manager.

'We've enjoyed strong growth in Saudi Arabia despite the global crisis,' stated Group CEO Nicos Rossides. 'Nigel's vast research experience and knowledge of the Kingdom will allow us to make the most of current and future opportunities in this promising market.'
