GKA Takes Medical Qual Research Online

April 20 2010

In the UK, medical market research fieldwork agency Gillian Kenny Associates (GKA) has launched a suite of qual online research tools, which bring researcher and respondent together via online focus groups, depth interviews and bulletin boards.

Richard StephensLaunched in 1992, Gloucestershire-based GKA provides access to more than 15,000 UK medical respondents including hospital specialists, patients, pharmacists, KOLs (key opinion leaders) and nurses. The firm offers quant or qual and full project management or recruitment-only services, and also provides international or UK-only data collection.

For its new 'iThink Qual' online service, GKA can either recruit from its database of healthcare professionals, or access respondents worldwide via its partner network, which enables interviews to be set up across the globe in multiple languages.

The tools transfer the firm's existing qual techniques online, enabling real-time moderation of online focus groups, as well as instant transcription and translation of international projects, available on completion of interviews.

Additionally, live online observation facilities are available to give clients the opportunity to input into their research as it takes place.

'With the new technology, we can organise online focus groups with English speaking participants from all over Europe via our trusted network of medical fieldwork partners,' explains Business Development Director, Richard Stephens. 'Alternatively, we can recruit respondents from International or European regions for live, localised depth interviews via webcam with simultaneous translation.'
