Italian, Spanish Launches for Peanut Labs

Social media sampling provider Peanut Labs has announced two new online panels, for Italy and Spain. Each will profile an extensive online population of social media users.

According to a recent Nielsen report, 78% of Italian and 77% of Spanish Internet users regularly use social media sites - the second and third highest proportions of any country. Two-thirds of the active unique Italian audience visited FaceBook in April this year.

Peanut Labs currently has 50,000 respondents profiled in Spain and 55,000 respondents in Italy, each one profiled on basic demographic attributes such as age, gender, ethnicity, geography, education and the income and number of children of the household.

Just over a month ago, the company launched a sample for France, and announced it would shortly roll out its Social Media Gamers Sample in the country. It already has offerings in Australia, Canada, Germany, the UK and the US. Many more social media panels are planned for the remainder of the year, including the frst Asian launches.

Peanut Labs offers researchers access to social media sample through partnerships with over 400 networks and applications, and also provides services such as listening, programming and hosting.
