SKOPOS Hires Ex-Carphone Warehouse Insight Chief

March 15 2011

In the UK, SKOPOS Market Insight has hired former Carphone Warehouse Senior Insight Manager Kevin Macdonald as Director for Digital/Media/Leisure.

Kevin MacdonaldSKOPOS Market Insight is part of The SKOPOS Group, which is headquartered in Cologne, Germany. The London-based division, which was founded in 2002 by former Harris Interactive Director Darren Mark Noyce, recently launched a trio of syndicated tracking apps - MTrack, TabTrack and ChatTrack - to measure the commercial and collective impact of mobile, tablet and social network channels.

For the past four years, Macdonald has served as Senior Insight Manager at Carphone Warehouse and at sister company Best Buy Europe, where he established the insight team, developed a pan-European market segmentation model, and implemented key metrics strategies. Prior to this, he worked at TNS as Consumer Insight Director.

Noyce commented on the new appointment: 'Kevin's all round experience of agency and client-side research, plus relaxed personable qualities, marked him out from the numerous candidates we saw for his role. We are certain his knowledge, curiosity, enthusiasm and positivity will be a real bonus for clients in his unit's sectors.'

Macdonald will be supported by Michaela Coulton, who joined in January from Virtual Surveys, where she served as a Senior Research Executive. Before this, she worked for TNS as a Client Executive and Market Analyst.
