Simon-Kucher Reports 'Best Ever' First Half

German product, pricing and marketing strategy specialist Simon-Kucher has reported a 20% year-on-year increase in first-half revenue to EUR 58 million. CEO Georg Tacke said it was the best first half-year in the firm's history.

Founded in 1985, Simon-Kucher provides a range of services covering customer segmentation, market forecasting, loyalty programmes, pricing, and sales force training. The company has 500 employees in 23 offices in the US, Asia Pacific and across Europe.

Tacke (pictured) reports that all the company's divisions and practices contributed to this year's increase, that business in almost all countries grew at an 'outstanding rate' and that the business outlook for the medium term is 'excellent'. Simon-Kucher generates half its revenue in its home market in Germany, and the remainder in its many other markets around the world.

During the first half of the year, the firm hired 97 new employees, with a further 160 new recruits planned worldwide during 2011.
