Synovate MMA Names Global Executive Team

Synovate-owned Marketing Management Analytics (MMA) has appointed a global executive team including EVPs Doug Brooks and Todd Gustafson.

Pat CummingsThe appointments follow the recent merger between global analytics consulting practice SMA and the original MMA, and the launch of an R&D operation in Bangalore, India from which the firm plans to develop advanced predictive and optimization techniques for use with behavioural and attitudinal data.

The merged team is led by CEO Pat Cummings (pictured), who is himself a former Accenture Partner, and the former President of Global Analytics at SymphonyIRI.

Members of the new team include:

  • Doug Brooks, Global EVP, whose experience includes working at Arthur Andersen Consulting, KPMG and holding leadership positions at SymphonyIRI and MMA.
  • Todd Gustafson, EVP and Chief Analytics Officer: a former partner at Accenture and senior executive at Henry Rak, SymphonyIRI and Marketing Analytics, Gustafson now leads analytic operations and innovation for analytic automation.
  • John Guild, SVP: a former Accenture exec, who now leads technology and product development, and works very closely with the Bangalore-based Center of Excellence to drive innovative ideas and solutions for MMA's clients.
  • Tigran Markaryan, SVP, Custom Analytics: a former Accenture executive and practice leader for marketing and media mix solutions at Merkle, who has more than a decade of experience in analytic consulting and research.
  • Susmita Chaudhury and Samrat Chanda - SVPs, Global Center of Excellence, India: co-founders of SCAnalytics, which was acquired in early 2011 by Synovate Management Analytics (SMA) and is now part of the Global Center of Excellence.
