Accenture Buys Spain's Neo Metrics Analytics

Global management consulting, tech services and outsourcing company Accenture has agreed to acquire Madrid-based predictive analytics specialist Neo Metrics Analytics. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Vicente MorenoAccenture says it intends to add the firm's solutions to its own portfolio, including Neo Metrics' 'advanced modeler solution' which aims to generates insight from any source of information, to enable clients to analyze and predict customer behaviour, and respond.

Through the transaction, Accenture will also gain new social network analysis capabilities, such as the ability to identify hierarchies in online customer communities, in order to help target key influencers in the customer community; and help with developing advanced analytical models for functions including pricing optimization, quality management, fraud management and demand forecasting.

Vicente Moreno, Country MD of Accenture in Spain, says the buy will complement the firm's Analytics Innovation Center in Barcelona, launched earlier this year. He continues: 'We are deeply committed to the Spanish market, which we see as a key hub for pioneering advanced predictive analytics work, and we are looking forward to applying these new capabilities to deliver better business outcomes for clients.'
