Toluna has promoted Mark Simon to MD of North America, allowing previous incumbent George Terhanian to focus on his other role of Group Chief Strategy and Products Officer. Paul Twite replaces Simon as UK MD, while former Ipsos exec Julie Paul also joins the firm.
Terhanian will now devote himself to leadership of the group's technology practice and the QuickSurveys product portfolio. The moves are part of a reorganisation that brings together the strategy development, products, product marketing and marketing functions.
Simon, who joined as a founding member of the UK office in 2005, most recently served as its MD, while also overseeing the development and launch of the PanelPortal Online Communities and QuickSurveys products. For his new position he has relocated to the US headquarters in Wilton, CT.
Twite replaces Simon in the UK's Ealing office, where he also leads the UK sales team. Prior to joining Toluna in 2010, he was a Publishing Director at Haymarket Publishing, and MD of online marketing agency Halpern Cowan.
Julie Paul joins as Senior Vice President, Online Communities from Ipsos, where she was SVP, Interactive Custom Panels. In her new position, reporting to Terhanian, she is responsible for the continued worldwide expansion of Toluna's community panels business.
