comScore Sees First Quarter Revenue Rise 14%

Digital measurement specialist comScore has reported a 14% increase in first quarter revenue to $76.9m, from $68.9m a year previously, while the firm's net loss fell to $782k from $2.0m.

Serge MattaQ1 adjusted EBITDA was up 22% year-on-year to $15.4m, representing margin up one percentage point to 20% of revenue.

Serge Matta (pictured), CEO, said: 'I am proud of the strong growth we drove in revenue and adjusted EBITDA. We remain focused on driving the business forward with sharp execution and a strong value proposition for our clients, partners and shareholders in 2014 and beyond.'

For the second quarter of 2014, comScore is anticipating GAAP revenue of between $77.3m and $79.7m, and GAAP (loss) income before taxes of $2.0m to $0.3m. For the full year, GAAP revenue is expected to be $317.2m to $328.2m, and GAAP (loss) income before taxes $2.4m to $5.2m.
