Rentrak Reports Q3 Revenues Up 38%

Film and television measurement specialist Rentrak has reported a 38% increase in revenue to $26.9m for the third quarter of fiscal year 2015 (ending December 31st, 2014), up from $19.5m in the same period of the previous year. TV Everywhere once again led the way with a 76% rise.

Bill LivekIn line with recent quarters, the TV Everywhere business saw revenue jump - this time to $14.8m, up from $8.4m in the prior year period. Movies Everywhere revenues rose 10% to $7.4m, and OnDemand Everywhere 20% to $3.7m.

Group operating expenses were $19.7m, up from $14.5m in fiscal Q3 2014, mainly as a result of costs associated with the firm's acquisition of Kantar's US return path data business, higher headcount, and stock-based compensation expenses. Operating loss for the third quarter of fiscal 2015 was $2.4m, which included $2.1m in stock-based compensation costs, $900k in costs related to the company's acquisition of iTVX in 2013 and $974k in other acquisition and reorganization costs.

Net loss, including discontinued operations, was $2.3m for the third quarter of fiscal 2015, compared with a net loss of $343k in the prior year period, and Adjusted EBITDA more than doubled to $3.6m from $1.4m for the same period last year.
