Marcoms group Dentsu Aegis Network has acquired Brazilian retail consulting specialist Cosin Consulting, for an undisclosed sum.
Cosin & Associados Consultoria e Servišos de Informática - to give it its full title - was established in 2005 by brothers Arnaldo and Alessandro Cosin, who previously worked in major consulting companies Accenture, IBM and CapGemini. The firm's services include business consulting, IT consulting and project management with a deep specialism in retail. Based in São Paulo, it now employs around 200 professionals.
Following the acquisition, Cosin will become part of digital marketing agency Isobar in Brazil, and will be known as 'Cosin - Linked by Isobar', with Alessandro as CEO and Arnaldo in a new advisory position. Dentsu Aegis says the deal will enhance its ability to conceptualise, execute and measure complex business transformation projects for its clients in Brazil.
The deal is one of a series in Brazil for Dentsu Aegis: it recently bought audience and behavioral data company Navegg, and mobile marketing agency Pontomobi Tecnologia Informatica. Abel Reis, the Network's CEO in Brazil, says of the latest buy: 'Cosin's expertise and reputation in designing and deploying business transformation solutions perfectly complements Isobar's vision for designing rich, transactional branded spaces. With the addition of Cosin Consulting, Dentsu Aegis Network Brazil is able to work with clients to both redesign their business model and brand development, as well as deliver the right strategy, implementation and execution to excel in today's omni-channel world'.
