New Kantar Public Centre to Study Future of Europe

October 4 2016

Recently unveiled Kantar Public has launched a new research centre, bringing together a pan-European team of researchers with expertise in political and opinion polling, social and economic trends, and migration.

Edouard LecerfSet up late last month, the practice pools expertise from around the group to offer advice on the delivery of public policy, services and communications. It has already announced that it will be opening a Behaviour Change Academy in Sydney early next year, and in Amsterdam in the spring.

Kantar's work in Europe includes the delivery of the Eurobarometer programmes of study for the European Commission, and working with DIW-GSOEP to establish a panel of newly arrived refugees in Germany. The newly launched 'Centre Kantar sur le futur de L'Europe' comprises researchers from teams in Germany, France, the UK, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden, who will contribute to public debate through Kantar's analysis and knowledge of public opinion and political change in Europe and its member countries. In addition, it will provide resources for journalists and researchers worldwide, through a programme of publications.

The centre will be led by Global Director of Political and Opinion Research Edouard Lecerf (pictured), who comments: 'Europe and its institutions are facing unprecedented turmoil. The question of Europe is now central to elections in every European country, contributing to changes taking place across the political landscape. Yet other indicators show that Europeans are still attached to the European project. It is in this context that I'm pleased that Kantar Public is investing in the Centre Kantar sur le futur de l'Europe'.
