MERLIN to Handle Bigger Data, Faster

UK survey software firm Merlinco has added several new features to its MERLIN survey analysis software package, including improvements in speed and the handling of very large volumes of data.

Launched in 1991, Merlinco develops and supports a range of software packages for survey design, data collection and analysis. It also offers a range of services including coding and data entry, survey management, web surveys, analysis and file exports, via its Production Department, as well as training courses - standard or tailored to client needs.

Business Development Director Peter Jackling (pictured) says MERLIN 10 now offers increased capacity for handling 'mega-large' databases, faster reading and writing of Excel data, and the ability to directly import and export to SPSS SAV files. He adds: 'MERLIN is a very well-established package but, to maintain its advantages over legacy products such as Quantum, it is essential for software to be developed continually in order to keep up with the latest operating systems and versions of MS Office, maximizing the potential connectivity and speed of the latest technologies'.
