Ton-Up for Euromonitor 'Passport' Country Coverage

Global business intelligence and market analysis specialist Euromonitor International has announced the expansion of its country coverage from eighty to 100 markets.

Now in 100 countriesThe firm has been publishing international market reports, business reference books and online databases on consumer markets for some forty years. Earlier this year it opened an office in Hong Kong, its fourteenth location worldwide. The new countries added to its 'Passport' database, described as 'some of the fastest developing in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America', are Angola, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Côte d'Ivoire, Cuba, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Honduras, Jordan, Kuwait, Iraq, Laos, Lebanon, Myanmar, Oman, Panama, Paraguay, Sri Lanka and Tanzania.

Euromonitor says the 100 countries represent 98 percent of global Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 91 percent of the global population.
