Kantar Adds Laptop and Tablet Tracking to UK Worldpanel

January 22 2019

Shopper behaviour specialist Kantar Worldpanel has expanded its laptop and tablet consumer panel, to measure purchase and usage trends in the UK.

Paul MooreWith a team of 3,500 and services covering 60 countries, Kantar Worldpanel provides purchase behaviour data across markets such as FMCG, impulse products, fashion, baby, telecoms and entertainment. A few months ago, it launched a consumer panel to measure purchasing and usage trends across the smart speaker market.

The laptop and tablet consumer panel is part of Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, which offers a continuous research consumer mobile phone tracking panel, and is already available in the US. This panel helps hardware manufacturers and service providers understand consumers' purchase drivers, while improving UX. Using the same sample of 20,000 panellists in the US and 12,000 in the UK, over time Kantar Worldpanel can monitor shoppers' purchase trends, loyalty and switching habits. This provides an understanding of laptop and tablet devices in the context of the wider technology landscape, as panellists also supply in-depth information about other consumer electronics and telecoms services such as smartphones and wearables.

Paul Moore (pictured), Kantar Worldpanel ComTech Global Director, comments: 'Our continuous laptop and tablet consumer research helps brands to precisely target new buyers as well as to evolve their offer to create a memorable consumer experience. We provide deep insights that make it possible for us to advise brands on what actions can be taken to grow'.
