AppQuality Raises EUR 3.5m for Crowd Testing Platform

Milan, Italy-based crowd testing platform AppQuality has raised EUR 3.5m in a new round of funding, some of which will be used for expansion into new European markets.

Luca ManaraFounded in 2015, AppQuality brings together a community of more than 14,000 remote testers to trial apps, web sites, chatbots, Facebook pages, landing pages and newsletters, and other digital services, and advises on usability, functionality, benchmarking and prototype testing.

The firm's new funding was led by P101 SGR and ITA500, with participation from Italian Angels for Growth (IAG), and Club Italia Investment 2, and will also be used to develop proprietary tools and technologies. Luca Manara (pictured), co- founder and CEO of AppQuality, comments: 'This round will allow us to invest in our platform's technology and therefore offer companies quantitative and qualitative tools that allow them to develop the best apps and digital solutions. Thanks to this investment, it will be possible to develop and attract additional talent for the creation and marketing of new product lines, all based on crowd-sourcing technology'.
