Launch Funds for Machine Data Analyst Axiom

June 16 2020

Machine data analysis firm Axiom has launched out of stealth with $4m in seed funding, adding to the $3m it secured in 2017. The latest investment will be used to build the firm's product, sales and marketing functions, and to bring its solution to market.

Neil Jagdish PatelAxiom was founded three years ago by Neil Jagdish Patel (pictured), Seif Lotfy and Gord Allott, who have worked together for more than a decade and previously created a cross-platform app called Xamarin Insights, helping developers monitor and analyse mobile app performance in real time. Through Axiom's enterprise-grade, server-less data insight platform, users can store and query 'unlimited' machine data at any scale, across any type of infrastructure. The platform is based on an object-based datastore, which provides a way to access and manage this data and uncover in-the-moment insights.

Patel comments: 'We created Axiom having experienced first-hand the problems today's DevOps teams face managing massive data streams and complex infrastructures. We wanted to approach the problem in a way that fixed the fundamental problems teams were facing; and to do that we had to build a solution that provided the flexibility of indexing and querying huge volumes of data while drastically reducing management and infrastructure time and costs'.

New funding was led by Crane Venture Partners, with participation from Fly VC, Mango Capital and LocalGlobe, which led the previous round.
