Seed Funding for Qual Data Firm Tetra Insights

August 14 2020

In the US, qualitative customer data provider Tetra Insights has raised $1.5m in a seed funding round, which it will use to add advanced automation and data integration capabilities to its enterprise research platform.

Michael BambergerThe firm's technology is used to upload and sync large user and customer interaction audio and video files from any source, and then analyze these recordings. The fully managed service includes all recruitment, compliance, scheduling and incentive distribution, and Tetra can also source panelists for 'every' type of audience. Automated tools are available for competitive insights, and UX benchmark testing.

The new funding has been led by Active Capital, with participation from HNVR Technology Investment Management and others. Joe Malchow, founding partner at HNVR, comments: 'Michael and the team at Tetra have built a machine for turning voluminous video and audio into usable, searchable data no matter where it originated. Recording customer sessions is one thing. Making that data so instantly available that companies understand their customers holistically and win because of it is another - that's what Tetra enables'.

Led by co-founder and CEO Michael Bamberger (pictured), Boulder, CO-based Tetra Insights also has a remote team working around the world, and is online at www.tetrainsights.com .
