Funds for Built Environment Insights Firm Commonplace

In London, citizen engagement platform Commonplace has received an investment of £2.1m from investors led by transatlantic VC firm Beringea, and will use the funds for continued expansion including growth of its client base.

Mike SaundersCommonplace's digital insights platform includes dashboards and reporting capabilities and is used by builders and infrastructure developers, local government and architects to collect data from key stakeholder groups including residents and businesses. The firm powers more than 3,000 projects including urban regeneration schemes, high streets, housing developments, pedestrian and cycling schemes and major infrastructure projects, for 200 councils and real estate developers. Its services have engaged more than 6.5 million people across the UK as well as citizens in North America, Europe, the Middle East, South Asia and Australasia.

The round was also backed by Grosvenor Property UK, The Conduit Impact Fund, Concrete Ventures, Oxford Innovation Finance and Foundation Ventures.
