Survation Hires to Accelerate Public and NFP Business

July 7 2025

UK-based pollster and MR agency Survation has appointed former IFF Joint MD Mark Speed as Client Development Director.

Mark SpeedSurvation is best known for its voting intent and other political polling, conducted using a panel on whose engagement and high quality user experience the firm aims to differentiate itself. However it also offers commercial, social, legal and other research.

Speed (pictured) worked as a Partner at MORI before joining London-based full service agency IFF, where he spent fifteen years, latterly as Joint MD. IFF was originally a b2b specialist and has a strong pedigree in skills and training research as well as other public sector studies, and Speed later focused on B2B and campaign research - both in the UK and internationally - when he left to run his own research consultancy xSpeediency. Since 2021 he has consulted for insights and polling specialist Perspectus Global, and worked as Head of Research at Rigour.

In his new role, he will collaborate closely with Survation founder and CEO Damian Lyons Lowe, as the firm looks to deepen existing partnerships with government, local authorities, charities and regulators. 'Survation's research for clients in government and the not-for-profit sector has long been a core part of our work, alongside our polling,' comments Lyons Lowe. 'We've been looking to bring in someone with a strong track record of public sector engagement, business development, and marketing leadership. Mark's background at IFF and xSpeediency makes him ideally placed to help take our work to the next level.'

Survation says it is planning additional hires 'in the coming months' to support growing demand and further strengthen its offer to public sector and not-for-profit clients.
