Founded by Brown and Andy Pearch in 2009, mediasense (it appears to have dropped its capital letters during 2025) operates a media auditing platform called DiPA (Digital Performance Analytics), powered by a proprietary insight engine, machine learning techniques and a team of analysts and data scientists. The firm, which has been majority-owned since 2021 by private equity firm Apiary Capital, bought PwC's Marketing & Media advisory team last year, and a year ago added creative and media advisory specialist R3.
Brown, who will continue to contribute to mediasense's long-term strategy, says the transition is 'a natural step for [him] at this stage', but says he will remain 'deeply committed to actively participating at the Board and supporting the executive team.' He comments: 'The team has led the successful integrations of two acquisitions... and the company now has a fully integrated offering, with an end-to-end suite of capabilities that will serve the needs of marketers.'
Posnanski, who replaced Brown as CEO in December last year, states: 'Graham's commitment to the business - and our industry as a whole - has been integral to the foundation of what mediasense is today. I look forward to our continued work together in his role as a trusted advisor and strategic voice on the Board, while our executive leadership team drive the company through its next phase of growth.'
