User Vision Debuts Remote Observation Service

June 19 2009

In the UK, user experience consultancy User Vision has unveiled a new service to allow global clients to watch focus groups and user tests sessions carried out at its HQ, live from their own offices.

Emma KirkThe software - which has been developed by research broadcast specialist Stream Team to be used exclusively by User Vision - allows observers not only to watch and listen, but also share comments and opinions with other observers and the moderator, through a messaging panel.

User Vision will use it during tests and research across many platforms including web sites, interactive TV, software, mobile phones, keyboards, and even consumer products.

Emma Kirk, User Vision's Strategic Director comments: 'This solution means we can now bring our user testing and focus group sessions to a wider client audience and all without them needing to leave their office. For our international clients this will be a great benefit.'

Launched in 2000, Edinburgh-based User Vision specialises in usability testing, web accessibility, and eye tracking, as well as testing response to advertising.

Last September, the firm opened a multi-media testing lab, offering insights to broadcasters, set top box manufacturers, advertisers and content producers.
