Social Media Analysis Tool Upgraded

June 25 2009

US social media analytics firm Visible Technologies has updated its TruCast monitoring and engagement platform. Additions include the ability to view the tone of conversations by country.

In addition to filtering conversations by country, the platform's new functionality also features a new page view that displays global volumes and sentiment by region and country.

In addition, a detailed grid provides analytics broken down nationally, allowing users to identify areas of opportunity and concern for their marketing, communications and customer-service campaigns.

Country values are now included with all scheduled data exports, as well as the on-demand exports from the data dashboard.

'Companies are demanding greater visibility into social conversations regardless of where dialogue is occurring,' stated Blake Cahill, SVP of Marketing. 'TruCast's new geo-mapping capability helps global businesses gain faster business intelligence by understanding where social conversations are originating in the world.'

Based in Seattle, Visible Technologies has offices in New York, Boston, and Washington, DC. In 2007, it received $12m in a second round of funding from WPP and venture capital company Ignition Partners.

Earlier this month, the firm launched an index which ranks the sentiment of online content regarding an individual or company.
