SeeWhy Unveils 'Re-Targeting' Product

August 4 2009

US web analytics provider SeeWhy has launched a service to enable real-time re-targeting of people who abandon sites.

According to the firm, just 2% of web analytics users follow-up on abandoners with e-mail re-marketing campaigns within the hour, while nearly 90% of those users want to implement this procedure.

The new Abandonment Tracker Pro software-as-a-service (SaaS) automates and optimizes abandonment follow-up actions, which the firm claims can convert up to 50% of web site visitors who have previously abandoned their shopping carts, online forms, applications or registrations.

It uses self-learning behavioral analytics to monitor users' onsite behaviour, in order to determine whether an offer is required to maximize conversion.

In addition, the solution integrates with CRM applications and includes an automated response e-mail mechanism, as well as a means to update the contact center at the same time.

'If you delay in following up, you risk your e-mail becoming irrelevant or annoying to the abandoner,' states founder and Chief Strategy Officer Charles Nicholls. 'Our solution makes it easy for you to do re-marketing right for the first time.'

Andover, MA-headquartered SeeWhy recently secured $4.5m in new funding, appointed Scott Silk as CEO, and opened a new SaaS delivery center in Edinburgh, Scotland.
