MarketSight Upgrades Data Tool

US-based MarketSight LLC has launched the latest Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-based version of its product for data analysis and reporting.

The release, MarketSight Version 7.7, promises new persistent dynamic charting capabilities, greater flexibility in the design of cross-tabs, and significant improvements in workflow animation.

The web-based application supports 'all leading data input formats' including SPSS, SAS, Triple-S, and Excel, and with seamless export to PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, and SPSS. The firm says the SaaS format will enable it to continue its frequent updates of the product with no disruption to users - it has already released three updates this year and plans more.

CEO Michael DeNitto says the firm's servcies bring sophisticated statistical analysis of data and the creation of client-ready reports - 'until recently the exclusive domain of a small number of researchers within very specialized functions' - to a much broader range of users. He adds: 'With the recent focus on this market after last week's announcement that IBM is acquiring SPSS, we expect to see even greater interest in making statistical analysis and predictive analytics accessible to a broader business audience via web-delivered software.'
